PictureEve: clay, Evergreen , tinsel (14"x24"x10")

Life starts with Eve and  continues through some cosmic, Godly intervention of  breath. Whether we see lungs or breasts or the negative  space between the forms, we are forced to acknowledge  the greatness of nature, despite how much we nurture it,  as evidenced by the evergreen changing. It is foreboding  and humbling to witness. These simple materials,  presented in unexpected ways, have a way of challenging  reason. It changes color and sheds, attempting to be a  beacon in an oppressive world.

"Garon employs decaying natural artifacts primarily as symbols of humanity's fragility. But her contrasts of hard and soft intrigue the eye as well as the mind." -Mark Jenkins, The Washington Post
